40 Weeks = 1 Week Old Micah!

Micah Alan Blum arrived 1 week early so this is him at "40 weeks". He is healthy, so adorable and such an amazing addition to our world. Its going to be fun to keep track of all the changes. From here on out the blog changes to Baby updates :)

Micah was born at 10:48 pm on June 19, 2012 after only 8 hours of labor. He decided to make it a bit difficult at the very end by getting his head stuck, so the doctor needed to use a vaccum suction to pull him out. He wasn't breathing right away so they had to send him to to intensive care for an hour. Luckily he was just fine, just a little low blood sugar which went away wihtin the first 24 hours. We left the hospital 48 hours later and have spent the last week at home getting to know our new little guy. He is so adorable, happy, healthy, and a good eater. We couldn't be more proud and excited to see how he grows up. Here are a few pics from the first days in the hospital!

39 Weeks .... Any Day Now

Well, we didn't think we would get to this point, but here we are at 39 weeks. Only one more week until the due date! I was told last week at my doc. appointment that I would not make it to another, but I guess baby has different plans. I'm hoping that this week is the week and we don't go over the due date....starting to be very uncomfortable and so ready to meet our little one!

On another note, we finished the nursery...finally! They workers finally finished the bathroom so we were able to put everything into place. Obviously its going to be a work in progress once baby arrives, but at least we have the necessities and the room seems cozy enough :) 

                                                                             

38 Weeks

It's been quite a week. I went in on Monday to find out I'm already 3 cm followed by 2 days of consistent contractions, but not strong enough to go into the hospital. Today marks 38 weeks and contractions have slowed. Hoping that they will pick up again and baby will arrive sooner rather than later. Come on baby!

36 Weeks

This week we finally set up the nursery....somewhat. Still waiting on the tile guy to finish the bathroom so not completely 100% there, but feeling much better if baby were to join us sooner rather than later. Hope to have it completely set up by next weekend...fingers crossed!
